Hi!
All of a sudden when starting my computer the screen is black an there is a pattern of signals.
3 lower long beeps followed by 4 higher and short beeps. This repeats several times befor the omputer starts up as normal. I have checked the memory and no faults where discovered. I can use the computer as normal after this and it happens every time i start the computer. I understand it some kind of Bios code but i cant find this specifik pattern in any list, could it be the Bios itself that is wrong?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Patrik21
Please refer to the HP Support Document on various BIOS error codes.
There is a similar error cadence of 3.4 for HP PC's released after April, 2015. It indicates a system board power failure.
The remedy is:
- Reduce to minimum config (CPU, System board, PSU, 1 DIMM of memory) and isolate failed component.
- Reduce further if issue persists.
- Test known good PSU.
- Replace affected component.
- If unable to confirm source, replace CPU, System Board, PSU.
You may find a better match. If you don't find a better match you will have to see if a different forum member can help or contact HP Support.

If I understand this correct then it's something that is not being fed enough power. And it is in that case either the powersupply itself, the CPU or a mother board issue.
I don't know how to isolate the components and what I should try to find? Is there some kind of test you can run or is it a "pick apart measure components solution".
It's still under warranty so if it's a pick apart solution I will send it back for repair. I just wanted to see if there's an easy solution that I could test before sending it in. If not, then I will use the warranty.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Patrik21
You are welcome.
You are right.
It would be best to have HP check for the possible faulty component because you are in warranty.
You could run boot time component diagnostics to see if anything is detected.
