Hello, I have a computer that had no system since 2015, so I installed windows 10 from a usb, eliminating all the partitions, thus losing the HP Recovery, by installing and updating everything in my windows and with the help of the HP SUPORT ASSIST program. Updates of bios on the official page shows me that I need to update bios to the 2018 version but when installing the program it says that this version of bios is not compatible with my device but I do not understand how I cannot update the bios obviously this encourages me a lot the pc without having the updated bios I hope you can help me

@MikeYTSykes As per the specifications of your device: click here to verify, this device was shipped with Windows 8.1 and hence, was not designed to work on Windows 10, the BIOS is also designed only for the Windows 8.1, hence you can only update to a compatible BIOS designed by HP when your device is using the Windows 8.1 OS.
I hope you understand,
Let me know if you need anything else.
P.S: Welcome to HP Community 😉

@MikeYTSykes You've mentioned the Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-Bit) on the main post, if this is what you've got, you may not be able to install the BIOS, as there are no new BIOS released for Win10, the last update is available for older versions of Windows alone, have you removed Windows 10 and reverted back to the OEM?
Also, is there any particular reason you wish to update the BIOS? Please explain, so we can help you accordingly.
Keep us posted.
