Hi @Mirtunjay1,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP Notebook 15-db1059au is automatically booting into the BIOS setup and not returning to the operating system, it could indicate an issue with the boot configuration or hardware.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:

1. Check Boot Order in BIOS

  • If your laptop is stuck in the BIOS, the boot order might be incorrect.
  • Steps:
    1. Turn off your laptop and turn it back on.
    2. Press the F10 key repeatedly as soon as the HP logo appears to enter the BIOS settings.
    3. Navigate to the Boot Options or System Configuration tab using the arrow keys.
    4. Ensure the boot order is set to Windows Boot Manager or your primary hard drive as the first option.
    5. Save and exit the BIOS (usually by pressing F10, then select Save Changes and Exit).

2. Reset BIOS to Default Settings

  • Sometimes, resetting the BIOS can help resolve the issue.
  • Steps:
    1. While in the BIOS, look for the Restore Defaults or Load Setup Defaults option (this might be under the "Exit" menu or another section).
    2. Select this option, confirm, and save changes.
    3. Reboot your laptop.

3. Check for Hard Drive Detection

  • The laptop may not be detecting the hard drive properly.
  • Steps:
    1. In the BIOS, navigate to System Information or Storage options.
    2. Ensure that the hard drive is listed under storage devices. If the hard drive is missing, it could indicate a hardware issue.
    3. If the drive is detected, proceed with boot order adjustments (as explained in Step 1).

4. Perform a Hard Reset

  • A hard reset can sometimes fix boot-related issues.
  • Steps:
    1. Turn off the laptop and disconnect all external devices (USBs, external drives, etc.).
    2. Unplug the charger and remove the battery (if removable).
    3. Press and hold the power button for about 15-20 seconds to drain any residual power.
    4. Reconnect the battery and charger, then turn on the laptop.

5. Run Hardware Diagnostics HP PCs - Testing for hardware failures

  • Use HP's built-in diagnostics to check for hardware issues.
  • Steps:
    1. Turn on your laptop and immediately press the F2 key repeatedly to open the HP Hardware Diagnostics.
    2. Run a full System Test to check for hardware issues, especially related to the hard drive and memory.

6. Check for UEFI/Legacy Boot Mode

  • If your system is configured for Legacy Boot, try switching to UEFI, or vice versa.
  • Steps:
    1. In the BIOS, navigate to Boot Options.
    2. Look for Boot Mode (UEFI/Legacy) and try switching modes.
    3. Save changes and exit the BIOS.

7. Operating System Corruption

  • If the above steps do not work, your operating system may be corrupted. You can attempt to repair Windows by creating a Windows 11 bootable USB.
  • Steps:
    1. Download the Windows Media Creation Tool on another computer and create a bootable USB.
    2. Boot your HP laptop from the USB drive by pressing F9 during startup and selecting the USB device.
    3. Choose the option to repair your Windows installation instead of performing a clean install.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
