Hi @steverocky818,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP ENVY 34-inch All-in-One Desktop is stuck on the BitLocker blue screen, and you can’t type the recovery key because the keyboard and mouse are unresponsive. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Check USB Connections
Unplug your keyboard and mouse, then reconnect them to different USB ports on the desktop — preferably USB 2.0 ports (usually black).
Wait 10–15 seconds after reconnecting to see if Windows detects them.

Try a Wired Keyboard and Mouse
If you’re using wireless peripherals, switch to a wired USB keyboard and mouse if available.
Wireless receivers may not initialize early enough at the BitLocker screen.

Restart the Computer
Press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds to force a shutdown.
Turn it back on and check if the keyboard lights (Num Lock/Caps Lock) blink during startup — this confirms they are receiving power.

Access BIOS to Test Keyboard Response
Turn on the system and immediately press the Esc key repeatedly.
If the Startup Menu appears, your keyboard is working at the firmware level.
Then press F10 to open BIOS and confirm that the keyboard and mouse respond inside BIOS menus.

Update USB Settings in BIOS (if accessible)
In BIOS, go to Advanced → USB Configuration and ensure Legacy USB Support is Enabled.
This setting allows older USB devices to work during pre-boot environments like BitLocker.

I hope this helps.

I was able to go BIOS and disable and enable for the USB. My wireless keyboard and mouse was working and I was able to enter the recovery key.. I  recommend to turn off Bit Locker in system security / privacy.. I log-in to Microsoft account and found my recovery key.
