I did a reboot and to my horror I'm being asked for a bitlocker key. I'd no idea it was enabled and have no key. I found a solution:
stage 1 In bios : boot options, change secure boot to disable . save and exit bios
stage 2 In bios : boot options, change secure boot to enabled , clear all secure boot keys, load hp factory default keys . save and exit .
Start windows and wait bitlocker key request should not show any more.
Problem is I can't disable secure boot mode in the BIOS, it turns back on every reboot. I also can't reset the keys as I need to disable Sure Start Secure Boot Keys Protection and it just doesn't seem to acknowledge I have or resets. Could HP Wolf be responsible?
All help appreciated. Been fighting this for hours. Why didn't HP let me know I needed to find and save my bitlocker key? I have no idea I was running it.
