Pavilion All In One 24-b010
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

A couple of nights ago, Windows update showed and update called HP firmware. WU reported that it failed to install. The next morning power was knocked out for some reason and when I turned the computer back on the screen is totally black, there are 2 long beeps followed by 2 short beeps. This pattern repeats 5 times and thereafter it's only the power button led flashing the same code. I've tried every single troubleshooting idea on this site and nothing seems to help. What can I do? I'm not very tech savy to please don't feel bad talking down to me like I might be a 5 year old! LOL

Hey everybody, sorry but I kinda forgot about this post. I tried everything under the sun and finally found a solution... I bought a Dell.

There may be something that helps.

Can you run an F2 Diagnostic on the Hardware (ESC and F2 perhaps)?

HP Recommended

Please 1st try a Hard Reset

Press and Hold the PWR off button for 4 seconds to force a PWR off.

Unplug from the wall.

Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to complete the reset.

I can't run the diagnostics because the screen stays black and I can't see anything.

Hard reset, win+b, F10/F5/enter/F10/enter,  none of these are working. Like I've said, I have tried every thing on this website, even some things meant for laptops...nothing seems to work. I was hoping that someone had some knowledge outside of what already posted in the support section.

Open the back and unplug the HDD, also the DVD drive.  Check to see if the Beep Codes Change.

Unplug the memory modules and see if the beep codes change.

If in doubt please ask.

Can you tell us what did you end up doing with this situation?
