Hi @j77712,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP All-In-One 22-dd0110 is showing a Blue Screen error “BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO”, and attempts to repair the boot using bootrec /rebuildbcd and regback copy *.* have failed. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Power cycle the computer
Turn off the PC completely, unplug it from power, wait 30 seconds, then plug it back in and power on.
Sometimes a simple power cycle can clear temporary boot issues.

Boot into Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE)
Turn on the PC and press F11 repeatedly to access the recovery environment.
From here, you can access repair tools even if Windows won’t start normally.

Run Startup Repair
In WinRE, go to Troubleshoot → Advanced Options → Startup Repair.
This attempts to fix common boot configuration errors automatically.

Check system files
From WinRE, open Command Prompt and run:
sfc /scannow /offbootdir=C:\ /offwindir=C:\Windows
This scans for and repairs corrupted system files.

Attempt a registry repair using alternative method
If regback copy *.* fails, try the following in Command Prompt:

Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\config

Backup the current registry files

Use the most recent automatic registry backups from C:\Windows\System32\config\RegBack

Copy only files that are non-zero in size, as some updates prevent old backups from being used.

Check disk integrity
Run chkdsk C: /f /r in Command Prompt to verify the hard drive for bad sectors.
Even if previous scans passed, minor errors can still cause boot failures.

System Restore (if available)
In WinRE, go to Troubleshoot → Advanced Options → System Restore and select a restore point before the issue occurred.
This can revert system files and registry settings to a working state.

Prepare for Windows Reset or Recovery
If none of the above steps succeed, consider Reset This PC from WinRE, choosing to keep personal files if possible.
This reinstalls Windows without requiring external media.

I hope this helps.
