Z2 Tower G4 Workstation
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

About once every 3 weeks on bootup, a blue error screen appears. My PC then has to fix the error and restart before I can enter my passcode and see my desktop. The error code is lgdkmd64.sys. After reading about some suggested fixes online, I updated my drivers but the problem has just returned this morning. I'm reluctant to do anything else suggested online without consulting hp experts.

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

Your PC looks fairly new. Contact HP Support if you are in warranty (Link).

The error code refers to a Intel graphics driver issue or a possible hardware issue.

You have updated the Intel driver to the latest one at this HP Support site (Link).

Have you run HP Hardware Diagnostics (Link) at boot?

Did you run Windows System File Checker (Link)?

Have you verified your PC is malware free?

Regards

Thank you for your reply. I have since contacted hp support, but also found the links/suggestions in your post very useful.

Hi Jayne48,

You're very welcome.

HP should be able to sort this out for you.

Regards
