Having problem with PC not detecting any Bluetooth devices. Task bar does NOT list Bluetooth, however, Desktop Manager DOES?? So...does this PC actually have the Bluetooth driver installed or not? The option to turn on/off does not exist, so I'm assuming the driver is NOT installed. The lists of devices and/or software installed, does NOT list anything related to Bluetooth. HP is saying that this PC does not have any other updates available right now. Since this model Windows 10 PC lists Bluetooth in the Desktop Manager, I assume it should be able to do so. I just need some assistance from someone willing to explain this to me. Thanks.

Drivers can be found here and usually Bluetooth is included with the WiFi or network driver

There are other drivers that that might be more recent but I would not upgrade the bios unless there is a specific problem that it solves.  To see what any driver "fixes": click on the blue arrow to expand.

Hi, @Wheeler6352

Below is the link to the product specs for your PC.

It does not come with built in Bluetooth networking capability, or that feature would have been listed along with the other networking specifications.

Windows has Bluetooth settings and has had them for all of the Windows operating systems going back to at least Windows XP.

Bluetooth is a function of the wireless network adapter in a PC such as yours, and your PC's wifi adapter only supports wifi and and is not a combination wifi/bluetooth adapter.

The easiest thing to do to add Bluetooth functionality to your PC would be to install a USB bluetooth adapter.

Something like this...

Amazon.com: ASUS USB-BT500 Bluetooth 5.0 USB Adapter with Ultra Small Design, Backward Compatible wi...

If you would prefer to upgrade the internal wifi adapter to one that has both dual band wifi, and has bluetooth, this would be the one you want to buy...

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.

The card has a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS on the 5.0 GHz wifi band with an AC router and an excellent signal.

You can find this model on eBay, or Ali Express.

I see some Intel 3165 cards listed on the eBay listings, so don't buy those.

On the Ali Express listings, make sure the card has the HP Part # of 915620-001.
