In order to change the boot order, it is done in the BIOS. Assuming the USB stick is bootible, then change the BIOS to USB first with F9.
If you have trouble getting into the BIOS, the use this method.
Start tapping the Esc key BEFORE starting the PC and then press the start button.
Keep tapping the Esc key until a popup menu shows. Then pick Boot Menu from that popup menu, F9.
If the USB stick does not show in that F9 choice, then it was not made properly to boot.
