Hi @Bcskate,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems you're encountering a "Boot device not available" error on your HP All-in-One PC 24. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
Check Hardware Connections:
- Ensure that all cables are securely connected, especially the power cable and any peripherals.
Power Cycle the PC:
- Turn off the PC and unplug it from the power source.
- Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
- Plug the power cable back in and turn on the PC.
Enter BIOS Setup:
- Restart your computer and repeatedly press the Esc key (or F10 for some models) right after powering it on.
- In the BIOS menu, check if the hard drive is recognized.
- If it’s not listed, there may be a hardware issue with the hard drive.
Check Boot Order:
- While in BIOS, navigate to the Boot menu.
- Ensure the hard drive is set as the primary boot device.
Run Diagnostics:
- Most HP PCs come with built-in diagnostics. You can access this by pressing Esc or F2 during boot.
- Run the hard drive test to check for any issues.
Reset BIOS to Default:
- If you're in the BIOS, look for an option to reset to default settings. This can sometimes resolve boot issues.
Check for External Devices:
- Disconnect any external devices (USB drives, printers, etc.) that might interfere with the boot process.
Recovery Options:
- If the PC still doesn’t boot, you might need to use recovery media (USB or CD) to repair the installation or reset the PC.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
