Example: Pavilion gaming desktop 690-00xx

I have tried the troubleshooting process on HP website. I was not able to find if I had Intel optane memory.  This is my grandsons computer, so I'm not sure what happened when it started getting this message. I'm not sure what to do next. Should I go ahead with recovery or find a service tech.

Greetings,

@Tenelson

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

You ran boot time HP Diagnostics on the system with a pass.

But you get a boot device error message when you start the PC.

That's strange.

You could have Optane but 690-00xx does not allow one to check your PC's product specs.

You have a boot drive failure with a 3F0 error message.

Run full HP Diagnostics component tests.

A recovery won't help if you have a failing disk.

Regards
