I hope I’m in the right Place for this… I turned on my computer and I got an alert that the boot device wasn’t found. I’ve tried using some of the tips that I found online but haven’t gotten very far. Can anyone help

Either the disk drive is defective or the OS is corrupted.
Check to see if there is a hardware problem: Watch this video.
Tap the ESC key after powering on. Tap it once a second after you see the LEDs on the keyboard flash. When you see the startup menu, press F2 to run diagnostics.
If a component fails during the UEFI test then Click here to check warranty
If no hardware error then, while still in the bios diagnostics, select "default" for all menus, ensure the date and time are correct and that secure boot is enabled. See if windows can boot.
If the drive fails then it needs to be replaced. What is your exact model or your product ID?

Temporarily disable secure boot. Look in the bios for "keys" and reset to factory keys.
I assume the disk drive passed diagnostics so the drive is good.
See if the OS can boot. if so, start windows update to install pending update that might help.
You may also need a bios update.
Go here, enter your serial number, select windows 11 and look for bios update.
You might also obtain a factory restore in case it is needed.
HP is removing cloud recovery for system over 5 years old.
The actual wording is a limited time after the warranty expires
You may want to get a copy of the cloud recovery before it is too late.
Cloud recovery provides all the custom HP drivers.
Go here and enter your product ID including the 3 characters after the # character
If you have cloud recovery you can restore your system using a 64gb flash.
It may take an hour or more to create the recovery USB.
Alternately, download from the MS windows store
Click here for instructions.
Many commercial or "business" laptops have an alternate recovery tool different from that cloud.
