Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP Pavilion 500-c60 windows 10 driven. My CD/DVD drawer keeps opening and closing.

@SueAnn1 -- it could be a fault in the CD/DVD -- if it detects any "jamming" (such as incorrectly-inserted disk), it will open the tray, as a hint that you should remove or re-seat the disk, and try again to close it.  If there is no disk, the mechanism that detects "fully-closed" is not working correctly.  Replace the CD/DVD device.

 

Or, a long time, there was a computer-virus that deliberately opened/closed the tray, to scare the computer-user.
