Product: HP Pavilion All-in-One - 23-q113w (Touch)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I can not get my cd/dvd drive to work it shows up in Device Manager but  it won't play anything, I tried to use a external one and it won't work either . I have tried to  find a free driver updater and can't find one for free.

 

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME, I AM GOING INSANE HERE!!

Hi:

 

If you are trying to play a video DVD, you have to use DVD playing software because W10 does not include that feature automatically.

 

The only suggestion I can offer would be to install the free VLC app from the Microsoft Store and see if that works for you.

If the DVD drive won't open any kind of DVD at all, such as a program installation DVD unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to help you with that.

did a diagnostic and it says there is no Optical Drive detected,  and don't know how to fix it. I have done factory reset, diagnostics, even  went through a bunch of steps
