Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey folks,

I just read that AMD has updated their AGESA-Code so also the first generation AM4-Mainboards could support 3rd generation Ryzen-CPU like 5900x. Is it planned that the Elitedesk 705 G4 SFF Systems with their B350 FCH Mainboards get a new firmware that supports those new Ryzen?
Best regards,

The purpose of OEM updates are to stabilize the PC as produced.

Any type of BIOS updates are of that mindset, also.  OEM's generally do not offer an update to enable newer generations of CPU's for the consumer grade of PC.  Some of the Business Class PC's platforms will do that because of the nature of businesses not wanting to buy new hardware, but only on a rare occasion.

So, in short, do not expect that type of BIOS update, but since your PC is a Business Class PC, it might happen once the code is stable.

I'm not an HP employee.
