I have the  error. Recently (the last 2 weeks) I noticed the CPU fan would spin real fast for a second, and than slow down, sometimes stopping completely. It would do this repeatedly. Now I have the 90b error.

I have opened up my tower and cleaned all the dust from inside using a can of compressed air.

I cleared the error and updated the BIOS, while monitoring the CPU temp. (nothing ever over 60 C)

I than did a hard reset.

Did everything as you have described below, but still have the same problem. The fan is still spinning and stopping the same way. It cranks up to 3000 RPM, and then slows to a stop. Occasionally it will spin steadily around 600 RPM for a minute.

Suggestions?

I have replaced the fan and all is working fine again. There is no error and the fan does not constantly speed up and slow down.
