Pavilion Elite

The msg "CPU fan has failed" comes on. I cleaned the fan first. Same msg. I replaced the fan with a new one. Same msg. What do I do now?

If you confirm that the fan is working, this looks like a failed sensor on the motherboard -- and you're not going to be able to replace that.

 

You might be able to suppress the message by going into the BIOS setup options to see if there is an option to disable the fan messages.
