Envy 700-527c
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an Envy 700-527c Desktop with an i5-4570 CPU. Is there any processor I can replace this with to be compatible for upcoming Windows 11?

Thanks!

Hi,

Intel 4th gen CPUs are not on the approved list of processors supporting W11. You need a 8th gen  Intel CPU.

Your motherboard can't handle a 8th gen Intel CPU.

You could try a clean W11 install which requires backing up data at minimum or create a system image on external media before doing the clean install. Or install W11 clean on a different HDD or SSD.

Future W11 updates on a clean installation using unsupported hardware may fail or break the operating system.
