Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 IOT

I purchased a HP t740 thin client with Windows 10 IoT preinstalled. I'm thinking of installing HP ThinPro OS instead. Does HP thin clients come with a license for ThinPro OS or do I have to get a license somehow to install it?

HP Recommended

HP does license Windows and ThinPro separately on every Thin client. The best solution would be to replace the Win10 IoT T740 with the model that has ThinPro OS on it by default. If you are still planning to purchase the License for the ThinPro, you will need to purchase the ThinPro PC convertor. This would be per unit license. You could check the details on https://www.hp.com/in-en/cloud-computing/thin-clients/conversion-software.html

Hi, I just found out that it's possible to install ThinPro OS on a machiene preinstalled with W10 IoT. This was tested on a T740. If I run in to problems I would look further to the PC Convertor. Cheers!
