Hello guys,
i hope you are doing well today! i hope i could get some help here today to fix my issue with this HP desktop.
let me start at the beginning. i bought this Desktop on a marketplace. when i got this desktop home i saw that it probably has a corrupted windows 10 installed. so now first thing i wanted to do is to reinstall windows 10.
i have created a USB drive with my laptop where i have Ubuntu installed using the disk utility. i have tried that USB on my laptop and i was able to boot into that USB for windows 10 installation.
now for some reason i am not able to boot into that USB on my HP Z440.
i tried troubleshooting it in the BIOS setting, i have reset the whole bios settings to factory settings.(when i did this i couldn't get the corrupted windows 10 to open anymore), but after some changes again some settings called sSATA and changed that from RAID to AHCI and it saved, and now i could load into the corrupt windows 10.
and there is a setting about secure boot thats in the same menu as legacy support, i got like 3 options. i can either "disable legacy support and enable secure boot" or "enable legacy support and disable secure boot" or "disable both". but when i try changing it and save it, restart and go back. that setting has not been changed.
but my main problem is i need to be able to boot into that USB on my HP Z440
Thanks for reading, and i hope someone could help me with this problem!
