Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

At start  i got the message 'install windows', I tried to restart a couple times but got the same message.

When I clicked next to install windows it asked for the product serial number.

I do not have a serial number since windows 8 was installed on the computer when i bought it. After that I have upgraded to windos 10 and done all updates. Current version is windows 10 pro 1803.

Why do I need to reinstall windows or is this a scam?

Is that the full text of the message?

Does that prompt to enter the serial-number have a hyperlink near the bottom of the window "I do not have one" ?

If so, click that hyperlink, and Windows will finish installing.

When Windows has an Internet connection, it will "call home", and automatically activate, using the previous product-key.

Since Windows 10 was installed and activated on your computer, you were granted a digital entitlement to reinstall Windows, at any time, at no cost, onto the same computer.
