I started getting errors while starting games saying I need to update BIOS. I ran the HP Assistant and it says I need to update BIOS. I downloaded the file, and attempted to install. I failed twice. I've posted all the relevant info below.
Trying to install this:
BIOS Update (ROM Family SSID 8B3B) sp163236 Version: F.42
Computer Product number: 9C9X1AA#ABA
Computer Serial number: 2MO4214HMB
This is my computer:
Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop TG02-2347c (9C9X1AA)
Edition Windows 11 Home
Version 25H2
Installed on 12/12/2024
OS build 26200.6725
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.253.0
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-14700F (2.10 GHz)
Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.8 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
What are my options now?
Thank you,

Greetings @jbmonfort
Welcome to the HP Forum.
This HP Forum user is having the same BIOS update problem as you. The latest BIOS update installation fails.
My guess is the BIOS update file (sp163236) has a problem. It's unusual to see two different PCs using the same MB have the same problem when trying to update the BIOS using a specific BIOS update file (sp163236).
Many HP PC are also having gaming problems at this time caused by two additional issues. Unfortunately both gaming problems require a newer BIOS update to correct the gaming errors.
1. The Secure Boot (PK) firmware database is out of date.
2. The currently installed TPM 2.0 manufacturing version is out of date.
The only fix I am aware of to correct the gaming problem is to periodically check your PCs driver download site for a future BIOS update or wait for a future BIOS update from HPSA.
Regards
