I've seen other articles about this same problem, and none of them work for me. I know what my password is and it is still telling me it is wrong. All I want to do is play a game from google play games PC beta. I've changed the generic credentials, and it still says it is wrong. I don't know what to do, I've been trying to figure this out for about 3 hours now. I get random codes after three failed attempts. I've changed my password a million times and it always says it's wrong. The warranty on this thing is expired soooooo it's not like I would try and screw HP over anyway. Someone gave me this computer.

@Lucyferia, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
That sounds really frustrating! If Windows keeps rejecting your correct password, start by checking your keyboard input, make sure Num Lock is on, and if your password has special characters, verify that the correct keyboard layout is selected on the login screen.
The administrator password is often the same as the user account password. To check, go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options and look for the password details.
If you need to find the administrator password, open Command Prompt by searching for cmd in the Start menu. Then type net user [AccountName], replacing [AccountName] with your actual username, and press Enter. This will show account details, but Windows does not display stored passwords for security reasons. If you don’t remember the password, you may need to reset it using another administrator account or recovery options.
If you’re still locked out, a Windows recovery or reset might be the last option. Let me know how it goes! 😊
I hope these steps help resolve the issue

I've tried all of that except for recovery or reset, I don't want to lose all of my data, and when the computer was given to me it was completely reset so I don't see how doing that would fix anything. I know the password so I'm unsure what the problem is. Even when Num Lock is active, it doesn't work in that screen. (It functions fine, just doesn't work when you go to the weird screen thingie. I'm not good at explaining things.) I even enabled the built in Administrator account and put a password on it, and tried it, and it still wouldn't work. I guess I just won't be able to use google play games for PC. It's sad that this feature can only be turned on through BIOS, with as popular as games are, computers should come with this feature already turned on. I wouldn't recommend HP to anyone, ever. It was just given to me, so I take what I can get. Nothing against you or anything, I'm sure your answer would work for most people, but not for me.
