I had to do a system recovery of my PC, and before then used the Recovery program to make an automatic backup on my external HDD.

I have since then found my backup on there and extracted it into a "System recovery files" folder on my pc. But it won't let me access them, so I cannot copy them back into place or open them.

Whenever I try to open the folder it tells me I do not have the necessary permissions to access the folder, and directs me to the folder's security options. Even though I am logged in as administrator I cannot give any permissions to view or edit the folder.

Is this supposed to happen? How do I gain access to my files?

Thanks! That worked like a charm. Been looking for a guide like that, but mustn't have been searching the right way.

Thanks again!
