Microsoft Windows 11

Hello, i´m trying to activate "Secure boot" for my PC. The Slide is "activated" in BIOS, but if i open "msinfo32" the "Secure boot" states "Off".
BIOS Mode ist UEFI

TPM 2.0

DEP is activated

I already reinstalled Windows, but nothing changes.

I´ve got 2x SSD, both GPT

I think the problem is the passcode in BIOS, as it´s "not registered" - but i don´t know how to change that.

Greetings @Pirase

Welcome to the HP Forum. Sawadee Khap (Hello)!

Please elaborate on the BIOS passcode. I'm not sure what you are referencing.

The Secure Boot problem should not be a Windows 11 problem.

The general procedure to enable BIOS Secure boot is to disable Legacy support if this is enabled. Then enable Secure Boot.

Save and exit the BIOS.

W11 should now report Secure Boot is enabled.

HP ships UEFI PCs having Secure Boot enabled.

So, set the BIOS to defaults. Save and exit the BIOS.

This should fix the problem.

Greetings @Bill_To,

thank you for your reply.
I was referencing to the "plattform-key" in BIOS which is set to "Not registered"
I´ve to use the OMEN Setup Utility for the BIOS Setup, from my perspective - it´s a pretty reduced BIOS..
I´ve read about the Legacy support and i can´t find any option to enable or disable it on the mentioned Setup Utility.

The only way to turn on Secure boot is to reset to factory default, but then after i restart my computer (even more than once) my "msinfo32" still states "Secure Boot" "off" - and the plattform key states always "Not registered".
If i click on "Load HP Factory Default Keys" it states under "Pending Action" that a key will be loaded with the restart of my PC. But nothing happens.

P.S.: I´ve to use a translater for my text, please keep that in mind when reading it : )

Greetings @Pirase

My pleasure.

Thanks for the additional info.

Well, this sounds like the BIOS is messed up. The Secure Boot key database may be: missing or corrupt.

A BIOS update should fix this problem.

You need to provide a specific HP Product Number to check for a BIOS update. GT21-0000a (3G5Y9AV) is generic.

Specific product number examples would be something like: GT21-0584, or GT21-0038ns, or GT21-0008ur.

Or you could also go to your PCs support site to download the latest BIOS version if desired.

I don't know what to tell you if a BIOS update does not fix the problem.

Regards
