     Get ERR  -2.  Have latest version of Win 10.

The ERR -2 error with HP Support Assistant 9.39.17.1 can be due to several reasons. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue:
 

Check Compatibility: Ensure your HP Slimline Desktop - 260-a010 (ENERGY STAR) is compatible with the latest version of HP Support Assistant.

 

Update Windows: Verify that your Windows 10 is fully updated. Sometimes, missing updates can cause compatibility issues.

 

Clear Cache and Temporary Files: Use Disk Cleanup to clear cache and temporary files that might be causing the error.
 

Reinstall HP Support Assistant: Uninstall any previous versions of HP Support Assistant, restart your computer, and then try downloading and installing the latest version again.

 

Run as Administrator: Sometimes running the installer as an administrator can bypass certain restrictions.
