No CD/DVD in Device Manager

Hi:

 

Most new HP desktops do not come with a DVD drive.

 

Enter your PC's serial number in the search window at the link below and confirm that your PC came with a DVD drive.

 

HP PartSurfer

 

If the parts surfer site indicates a DVD drive was included, then the only suggestion I can offer would be to see the info from Microsoft at the link below for the various troubleshooting steps to get the DVD to reappear.

 

Your CD or DVD drive is not recognized by Windows or other programs - Microsoft Support
