When I connected my HP W2082a monitor to my new Windows 11 computer and turned on the monitor, the monitor displayed:
Input Signal Out of Range
Change Settings to 1600×900 -60Hz
I therefore changed the Windows 11 Display resolution from 1920×1080 to 1600×900, but the laptop doesn't recognize the monitor even after I restarted. In System > Display, I clicked on Multiple displays, then clicked the Detect button next to "Detect other display" but it then shows "We didn't find another display." Whenever I turn on the monitor, it still has that Input Signal Out of Range message. The monitor worked with my Windows 7 computer, but I can't get my new Windows 11 computer to detect it.

Bring up the device manager and look under monitors.
If you see "generic hdmi", or something like that, then the monitor is not recognizedl and the correct resolution will not be applied.
Try this monitor driver. It is for windows 10 but it might work. I found it here
