Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I have tried every function key and the ESC key when booting the computer up and it just keeps going to Windows 10.  I am trying to get to the BIOS menu.

It an older HP Pavillion 500-214 Desktop PC

Can anyone offer any hints?  I have even gone into windows and used Shift (Power)Reset and come up with options and none of those work either.

I would like to save all my files and programs if possible.

Thanks!!

Thank you so much.  I had already #2 but #1 did the trick and let my load my boot USB drive when I hit the ESC key as it was loading.

Thanks again so very much....I've been trying to solve this for a week !!!!!

@Jimmie43 -- I know of 2 methods:

1. disconnect the "data" and "power" cords from the SATA disk-drive, and restart.

Since the computer cannot boot into Windows, you might get a prompt to "enter BIOS Setup".

2. while Windows is running:

  1. use your mouse to click the "Windows" icon (bottom-left of your screen)
  2. click on "Power"
  3. hold-down the SHIFT key, and click on "Restart"
  4. when Windows does restart, click "change startup behaviour"

You should be able to restart, and get a prompt to enter BIOS SETUP.
