The HPsupportSolutionsFramework program didn't appear at all in my programs list.
I tried installing ver 13.0.1.131 via the HP official site but got an error occurred during the installation - 3. I tried absolutely everything recommended in previous posts but to no avail.
I did manage to install ver 12.3.11.29.
The reason I'm trying to do this is solve a problem HP Support Assistant which keeps telling me I can upload new drivers for my HP printer but won't allow me to because it states I have to sign into the device to install updates.
Running latest Windows update

Sorry Deep_World all my error.
I do remember reading a post that spoke about conflict with another pc but it wasn't clear what they meant.
I managed to load the previous version of HP Support Assistant (not ver 9) and this time, when I hovered over the error message, it stated that I had to log on to my wife's laptop (HP as well and linked to he same HP account). That's when I realised my error.
On using my wife's laptop I was able to address the printer software upload problem.
It doesn't explain why I couldn't install 13.0.1.131 but the main thing is my problem with the printer software has been resolved so I'm happy.

Hi @Gladbeck,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused don’t worry let me help you.
To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?
- Did you uninstall version 12.3.11.29 before trying the newer one, or are both currently present?
- Are you installing with administrator rights on your Windows account?
Troubleshooting steps to try
- Clean uninstall of old versions
- Remove HP Support Solutions Framework (any version) via Programs and Features.
- After uninstall, delete leftover folders in C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\HP Support Solutions Framework.
- Clear temporary files
- Press Win + R, type %temp%, and delete the contents of the Temp folder.
- This helps remove corrupted installer remnants.
- Run installer as administrator
- Right‑click the downloaded installer and select Run as administrator.
- Check Windows services
- Ensure Windows Installer service is running: press Win + R, type services.msc, and confirm Windows Installer is set to Manual or Automatic.
- Disable antivirus/firewall temporarily
- Some security software blocks HP installers. Try disabling it just during installation.
- Use HP Support Assistant repair option
- If Support Assistant is installed, open it and check for updates sometimes it will repair or reinstall the framework automatically.
I hope this helps.

Hi Deep_World
I started having issues with not being able to download a full software solution for my printer. Support Assistant just states that I must sign into this device to install updates.
On further searching, the problem could be linked with the supportsolutionframework but when I checked my program list it wasn't even there. I tried loading the newest version but keep getting this error message
I then searched for solutions as other have had the same problem but I tried all the fixes nothing worked.
In the process of trying to find a solution I managed to download version 12.3.11.29 but that did not fix my inability to download the printer software.
I've installed with admin rights, turned off my anti virus and firewall and even tried in safe mode but nothing works. I've also run system, hardware checks and Image Assistant.
I'm stumped
