Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I posted this message a long time ago with the idea that I would eventually reset my computer back to factory settings.

"I haven't tried the one thing that I'm pretty certain will solve this problem and that is completely reinstalling Window 10.  The downside is that I will have to reinstall all of my software and attempt to reconfigure my computer the way it is now, from scratch. This computer was purchased not that long ago and I bought with the idea that it would be future proof. For a guy my age that's probably 20 years max, so as far as I'm concerned I'm stuck with it. Good luck with yours, I hope the new Dell exceeds expectations."

Well this weekend I finally got around to doing that reset. I am now confronting a new problem. When the computer reset it apparently went back to the original configuration it had when it was brand new (The operating system is Windows 8 64 bit). I bought this computer refurbished and Windows 10 Home 64 bit was installed when I received it. I have tried to use the windows 10 64 bit repair disk I created on this computer to boot the computer and reset it again but to no avail. It keeps coming back to to Windows 8.  I am looking for some help getting this thing back to Windows 10 without having to purchase a new Windows 10 license key. Please help.

Because you were running Windows 10, you were granted a "digital entitlement" to reinstall Windows 10, at any time, at no cost to you.

See: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

to download the '1709' (2017-September) Fall Creators Update' of Windows 10.

It will help you either burn the download onto one DVD-recordable disk, or write the download to a bootable 8GB USB memory-stick.

Boot your system from the newly-created media.

When you are prompted to enter the 25-character product-key, click "I do not have one".

When Windows 10 connects to the Internet, it will leverage your entitlement, and automatically "activate".

I Wish I could tell you the exact thing that I did to finally get my computer back to Windows 10, I tried every suggestion I was given on this forum and a few other things that were on other forums. On about the third time going through each of the solutions just to make sure I was doing everything right, it worked! I do want to say that I appreciate the people on the forum who tried to help me through this. Thank you so much.
