So after having an absolute nightmare not being allowed to factory reset, I finally managed to get it to do it by selecting only drives with Windows installed instead of all drives. So it got worse, now I start the PC, it gets the black screen and the HP logo, it then goes to a blue screen asking for location, click next, it says error and needs an update, click next to connect to WiFi as instructed and it restarts itself and loops back to the first screen asking for location. I don't have an external drive or anything, what can I do to get this set up?

My suggestion start over from fresh. Since your machine previously ran Windows 10, you can do a clean install W10 for free by using the media creation tool at the link below.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

The tool will allow you to make a bootable installation media (USB/DVD) and you can use installation media to install.

During the installation process if you are asked to enter a product key, check the 'Skip' box and W10 will install and then automatically activate once you are connected to the internet using the key embedded in BIOS of your machine.

Then you can install the drivers and available software you need from your PC's support page.

Regards.

Thank you. If I insert the USB or DVD and start the computer, even though it hasn't even been set up after a factory reset, it will use the USB/DVD and follow instructions to install Windows 10? I'm worried because it's not had any set up at all and was just freshly reset to I could sell it
