I got a refurbished Prodesk 400 G4 and it seems it does not have a wifi connection only LAN via cable

How can I detect and activate the wifi adapter?

Hardly any Prodesk 400 G4 DM PC's come with built in Wi-Fi.

If you can't connect to Wi-Fi, then your PC is one of the many that doesn't have that option.

Use a dual band USB flash drive.

I use this one on my HP 800 G3 DM.

Works great and even has Bluetooth.

You're very welcome, Linoleo.

It's easy to take off the top cover to inspect if there is a Wi-Fi adapter in the M.2 Wi-Fi slot and the required antenna system.

The easy way to tell if there are antennas would be to look at the back of the PC and there is this black plastic 'bump' sticking out of the left rear corner as you look at the back.

See the pictures of this eBay listing:

Now if it has a dual antenna system, it means someone removed the Wi-Fi card.

You can install a M.2 Wi-Fi adapter instead of using a USB one if the antenna wires are there.

I'd go with an Intel AX200 non-vPro M.2 model.
