Hi,
I recently bought a laptop in Japan with a Japanese keyboard. I changed the Language to English but some sections are still appearing in Japanese. Need support to change the Input Output to English completely.

Hi @AnanyaMudgal, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It looks like you've already switched your HP laptop's language to English, but some parts are still showing up in Japanese. Let's make sure everything is set to English with these steps:
Set Display Language to English
- Open Settings (Windows + I).
- Go to Time & Language > Language & region.
- Under Windows display language, select English. If it's not available, click Add a language and install English.
- Sign out and sign back in to apply the changes.
Change System Language for Non-Unicode Programs
- Open Control Panel and go to Clock and Region > Region.
- Click on the Administrative tab.
- Under Language for non-Unicode programs, click Change system locale.
- Select English (United States) and restart your laptop.
Remove Japanese from Language Preferences
- Open Settings > Time & Language > Language & region.
- Under Preferred languages, remove Japanese if it's listed.
- Click Administrative language settings (on the right).
- Under Welcome screen and new user accounts, select Copy settings, check both boxes, and apply the changes.
Change Input Method (Keyboard Layout)
Since your laptop has a Japanese keyboard, it might still use the Japanese input method.
- Go to Settings > Time & Language > Typing.
- Under Advanced keyboard settings, set Override default input method to English (US keyboard).
- Remove Microsoft IME (Japanese) under Installed input methods if present.
Check Region Settings
- Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language & region.
- Change Country or region to United States or your preferred English-speaking country.
After completing these steps, your HP laptop should be fully in English.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
