I can't print in colour from Word or Adobe (or other sw).

But if print using HP Sw, it's printing.

From My iPhone (IOS18) it's printing also.

Printer is new. I have done all "up to date" installations.

Hi @DCembrak,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are experiencing color printing issues from applications like Word or Adobe on your Mac, but you can print in color using HP software or from your iPhone; it may be due to settings or configurations specific to the Mac applications. Here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue:

Check Printer Settings:

  • Open the print dialog in the application (Word, Adobe, etc.) you are using.
  • Ensure that the printer is selected and check for any color options. Make sure "Color" is selected instead of "Black & White" or "Grayscale."

Update Printer Driver:

  • Go to HP's Support Page and download the latest printer driver for Mac OS.
  • Sometimes, even if everything appears up-to-date, reinstalling the driver can fix certain conflicts.

Application Preferences:

  • In the application from which you are trying to print, go to Preferences or settings related to printing and ensure that the color is enabled.
  • In Adobe software, check the 'Output' tab in the print dialog to ensure the color profile is set correctly.

Reset Print System:

  • Navigate to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  • Right-click on the printer list (or control-click if using a trackpad) and select "Reset printing system..."
  • Re-add your printer and attempt to print again.

Test with a Different Application:

  • Try printing a color page from a different application to see if the issue persists.
  • This step can determine if the issue is application-specific.

Mac OS Updates:

  • Ensure your Mac is running the latest version of the operating system as well as the applications.
  • Go to the Apple menu > System Preferences > Software Update to check for updates.

Driver Specific Settings:

  • In the print dialog, there might be an option to choose between various color management settings. Experiment with these to see if a configuration change resolves the issue.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
