One day I turned on my computer and the computer turned on but instead the normal boot screen with the Compaq logo and black background had these red and white blocks started appearing in the top left corner one by one. I made a recreation in MS Paint:

After the screen went away nothing appeared so I turned off the computer and plugged in another monitor and Windows 98 booted up (Either in normal mode or safe mode, I don't remember) and I saw that it booted up fine. So, then I powered it back off, and plugged in the original monitor. But when it turned on, nothing appeared on the screen. And I tried it with 2 other monitors, and nothing showed up on screen. So, then I opened it and took out the 1 stick of ram and put it back in (for some reason after that the ram would come out REALLY easily, which seems concerning). But I thought the problem was that maybe the graphics card broke. So, I found and bought the same graphics card on amazon and put it into the computer, and it didn't fix it.

I don't know what the problem could be but I'm assuming that it has to do with the colored blocks on the boot screen.
