My PC was compromised a month ago and now it runs slow whenever I log on.

It depends largely on what actuality happened during the PC being "compromised".

By compromised, do you mean some malware infected the PC?  Or something other?

Please explain what you suspect happened.  Also need the complete model number for recovery options.
