OMEN by HP 45L Gaming Desktop PC IDS Base Models (ArticunoI)

When I leave my computer for a few minutes, it goes into sleep mode and the fans turn off. after leaving it for about 30 minutes, the CPU temp. was 140 degrees F. Is there a was to have the fans not turn off during sleep mode or turning off sleep mode all together?

Hi

You can adjust sleep time parameters using Control Panel, Power Options.

The fans as well as all other components will enter sleep.

Don't know how you got CPU temp readings when the PC was sleeping. 140 degrees Fahrenheit is okay.

I would not worry if your PC operating temps are good when using the PC.

Hi

My pleasure.

The 45L Omen PCs use high end Intel CPUs or AMD CPUs which use a lot of power and tend to run hot.

I see similar temperature spikes up to 60 C (140 F), at startup or wake from sleep, on my PC. I have an AMD 5900x CPU. The CPU is running at 45 C (113 F) while I am creating this post.

Your PC will enter a low power state, including fans, when the PC sleeps.
