Greetings @Ladyjess

Welcome to the HP Forum.

That's unusual to see downloading the installation files stuck at 100%. I'm guessing you did a Cloud reset.

Windows installations usually get stuck during the installation phase if the system drive has a hardware problem.

Why did you initiate a W11 reset? Were you having a prior Windows problem?

The system drive may not have enough free space to do a Windows reset using the cloud option. Windows installation files from the cloud come in at 4GBs or more. Plus Windows Reset needs scratch space in order to start the installation.

Can you recall how much free space existed on your PC's system drive before trying a reset?

Use a different PC to try the following options:

You could try a HP Cloud Recovery if your PC qualifies. A HP Cloud Recovery will overwrite all data on the drive; this install will initially work from the USB drive you create to do the HP OS recovery.

Or you could try a clean W11 install by creating W11 USB installation media Here.

You might want to run HP Diagnostics to verify your PC is okay if you cannot cleanly install Windows using the above options.

Check your PC's hardware using HP Diagnostics as follows:

Start the PC. Repeatedly tap the "ESC" key.

Select "F2". Run extensive system and component tests to confirm: a drive problem, a memory problem, or other component problem.

Regards
