HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-eu0000 (267R6AV)

about a week ago, my laptop started overheating way more than usual, it usually happens only when im using one specific game, but when it does he goes into some sort of "overwork" mode in which the entire laptop works very slowly while the fans work super hard and they simply do not stop working even if they laptop is already cooled off entirely.

being plugged to powersource and using all sort of programs does not make it go overheat, only this one game. and it's not a particularly "heavy" game, just one that might be tough on GPU, but still this did not happen until a week ago.

already cleaned fans and replaced thermal paste, but problem still happens. any possible solutions or reasons why this happened? and what can be done to make laptop stop being in "overwork mode" with the fans working so hard you can hear them loudly.
