When I try to turn on the computer, the computer's power button won't turn on as the screen remains black and the fan(s) begin to loudly spin. We opened and it and the fans are fine and so is the hard drive. Not sure why it doesn't work. Maybe it overheats or something? We've had this computer for at least a decade and my mother says we had a similar problem when we first got it but with the touch of a button and a 24 hr reboot of sorts it was fixed. I've seen plenty of other users have this problem with the same computer but a solution hasn't been found. Tried contacting computer technician Youtubers but no answer yet. I really need this computer to be fixed mostly because we do not have the money for a new one and due to important files and pictures being saved onto the computer.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Try the steps mentioned in the guided troubleshooter.
If the issue still persists, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer Or, you may contact the local PC repair store so that they might try and save the data from the Hard Drive.
Have a great day!
