How do I check my cpu temp on my computer and can I have it so I can put on my screen some where

I use tthrottle  for temperature monitoring. If the temperature gets too high the app will slow down your system.  It shows CPU and GPU temps and the windows can be moved anywhere on the screen.

 

There may be better apps available more suitable for what you want.  The bar of temps just above the app can be moved anywhere on the screen.  All cores are shown
