Hi @catfish1950,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I can imagine how annoying it must feel when your saved logins or website preferences disappear like they were never there. Let’s get those cookies to stay put on your HP Desktop PC M01-F3000a running Windows 11.

Here’s how you can adjust your browser and system settings so cookies won’t get deleted automatically:

If You’re Using Microsoft Edge:

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.
  2. Click the three dots (⋯) in the top-right corner and select Settings.
  3. Go to Privacy, search, and services.
  4. Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear every time you close the browser.
  5. Make sure Cookies and other site data are turned off (greyed out).

This ensures your cookies aren’t cleared automatically when you close the browser.

If You’re Using Google Chrome:

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Click the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner, then select Settings.
  3. Choose Privacy and Security on the left panel.
  4. Click Cookies and other site data.
  5. Make sure Clear cookies and site data when you close all windows is turned off.

This will stop Chrome from deleting cookies automatically.

⚙️ Windows Storage Sense (if the system is deleting temporary files)

  1. Open Settings (press Windows + I).
  2. Go to System > Storage.
  3. Click Storage Sense.
  4. If it's on, click to configure or turn it off.
  5. Make sure Delete temporary files that my apps aren’t using is either unchecked or adjusted to your preference.

Disabling this will prevent automatic deletion of browser caches and cookies via Storage Sense.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
