Correct Password Saying Invalid

HP Recommended
HP Envy

Desktop computer - Every time I log in, it tells me password in invalid.  I have checked 'show password eye' so I can make sure it was entered correctly.  Number lock and caps lock aren't the issue.  I've tried on-screen keyboard.  I've tried restarting, shutting down.  I don't understand why it won't accept my password all of the sudden.  I am the only person that has the password and uses this desktop.

If the fingerprint sensor suddenly stops working on your computer

OR

If the computer is not issuing errors but still won’t let you log in,

Consider trying a Forced Reset (power reset).

Reminders

A Forced Reset is NOT a “recovery” and does not remove your data – this reset merely forces the computer to load the Operating System from disk.

Forced Reset does not harm a healthy system nor does it “fix” problems not related to a clean start.
