HP Spectre X360 13t-ae000
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone,

My local laptop service told me that my laptop has failed motherboard after water spill damage. I am wondering how much would it cost me to replace the motherboard for the laptop. Though I am buying a new laptop, I am still considering of recovering this HP Spectre  since I really like the design and touchscreen feature. Any advice is appreciated.

@ridhwan22 -- your largest problem will be to find a replacement motherboard. Probably, the HP Warehouse (http://PartSurfer.HP.com) will not have any available for purchase. However, you might find something on eBay or on Amazon, but it is "buyer beware".  If you do find a motherboard, it will be expensive, and paying a computer technician to disassemble/replace/reassemble/test will cost up to $200.  Find & ask a technician, before you try to buy a replacement motherboard.

It might be economically best for you to remove the disk-drive, and then post the computer onto eBay, as an "as is" and "for parts" item, to try to help somebody else with an identical computer, who is looking for parts to repair their computer. Be sure to mention "working touchscreen" in your listing -- that probably is the most-valuable component.
