Subject: Daily 6 PM Reboots After July Windows Updates

Message: After installing the July 2026 Windows updates, my HP system began performing a clean, scheduled reboot every day at exactly 6:00 PM. This is not a crash or blue screen — it is a normal, controlled shutdown and restart.

The system reboots even when no updates are pending, and there are no hardware errors or instability. The timing is consistent every day, which suggests a Windows maintenance or update‑related trigger.

Microsoft has already issued a fix specifically for Dell systems experiencing the same daily reboot behavior after the July updates. This indicates the issue is related to Windows Update servicing components, not hardware.

HP systems appear to be affected as well. I am reporting this so HP can investigate whether the same Windows Update interaction is occurring on HP devices and coordinate with Microsoft if needed.

My PC is out of warranty, but this is a Windows/OEM interaction issue, not a hardware failure. I am simply reporting the pattern so HP is aware of it.

Thank you.
