Envy
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Envy with Windows 10.

The HP desktop assistant indicated I needed a BIOS update. I took the update (Feb 2021) but the machine now does not boot.

The machine appears to be on/have power but I have only a black screen with the following error mg “VGA light in PEI.

I have attempted BIOS recovery (holding windows and B keys while depressing start button) without any success.

I have a dead, non-functioning machine just over a year old

Ideas?

I am in the same boat. did the exact same thing to me. I did a CMOS reset, held all the appropriate keys to try to get into BIOS but the PC does not even recognize my keyboard. Tried all the USB ports etc and nothing.

What was your outcome to this? How did you fix it?

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks

Exactly the same for me. Come on HP I'm left with a 13 month old paperweight after an update you provided
