Hello, my HP Envy Desktop running Windows 11 has recently begun randomly shutting down. The Event Viewer lists the source of the critical error as Kernel-Power 41, keywords (70368744177664),(2). Although this appears to point to a driver problem, I have confirmed all drivers are current. I have also updated the BIOS. The PC passes all included diagnostic tests, does not appear to be overheating, and is not overclocking. Sfc /scannow did not identify any corrupt files. I did not install any new programs around the time this problem began. The PC is on a UPS, so it should not have a power issue. The shutdowns have become more frequent, although it has never happened while I'm actively working on it. I therefore cannot confirm whether a blue or black screen appears. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hi @RRCS
You have done a lot of troubleshooting. Did the Windows error report specify the offending driver?
Remove any unnecessary peripherals.
Then check memory using Windows Memory Diagnostics or Memtest86.
Try one stick of memory, one at a time, in each memory socket if memory diagnostics fail or the PC shuts down when running diagnostics. Run the PC for a while to test each configuration. Try different and compatible memory.
A problematic power supply could cause this even if the system is at idle.
Try onboard graphics if applicable, or try a different graphics card.
Have never seen a HDD/SSD cause this but anything is possible.
Then, you may be looking at a MB problem.
Contact HP Support if your PC is in warranty.
