@Pearl777, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Check for Overheating: A temperature of 82°C is too high. Clean out any dust from the fans and vents to improve airflow, and make sure your desktop has proper cooling.

Check Hard Drive Health: Run CHKDSK in Command Prompt to check for bad sectors or issues with the drive. Run CHKDSK by typing chkdsk /f /r in Command Prompt and restarting.

Back Up Data and Replace Drive: If the drive is noisy (clicking sounds), it may be failing. Back up your important files and consider replacing the hard drive or upgrading to an SSD.

I hope these steps help resolve the issue

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
